Dear Lucas,
From your e-mail, I have learn a lot of facts and fun things about Australian children and their daily life, some of them are similar to Chinese children but some are very different. Let me tell you about our daily life.
School
In Australia, primary student have very little homework, but in China we have a lot of homework, there’s new research say that in Australia, primary student use less than 100 hours averagely to do their homework in a year, but Chinese primary student use more than 650 hours averagely to do their homework. In my school, if didn’t do your homework, you will get a “warning”, if you get 10 “warning”, your teacher will call your parent and they will go to school and talk to the teacher. We usually go to school 7:30 am, same as your school, but instead eating lunch at school like you; most Chinese children go home at 12pm to eat lunch at home and go back to school at 2pm.
Sports
From your e-mail, you told me that in Australia, children love to play rugby and cricket. But in China, we have a lot of homework, so we like to play games that start fast and can end fast such as basketball, badminton and Ping-Pong so we can go home at any time.
Leisure
In china, we don’t have a lot leisure time, but we still have funs in our weekend, we usually go to cinema to watch movie with friends or go to friend’s house to play, if I am too lazy or tire, I just stay home and play videogame. My family usually goes out to picnic, hike, and swim once a month. How about your leisure? Because you only told me that Australia children loves sport, can you tell me what do you usually do in your leisure time in your next e-mail? Bye!
